Structure and Cost of Sessions
A typical session is 60 minutes, and the fee is $195.
Additional fees may apply for extended sessions, extensive paperwork, or court appearances, and will be discussed in advance.
The fee for each session will be due at the conclusion of the session. Cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover are acceptable for payment, and I will provide you with a receipt of payment. The receipt of payment may also be used as a statement for insurance if needed.
Insurance
Each insurance plan has its own rules and requirements. Please be advised that it is up to you to understand your plan’s policies and handle reimbursement filing. I am happy to provide a statement for your insurance company and to help with any questions.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Your communications with me will become part of a clinical record known as Protected Health Information (PHI). Your PHI is kept in a locked cabinet in my locked office.
Everything you share with me is completely confidential, with the following exceptions:
- You direct me to share information and sign a “Release of Information” form
- I determine that you are a danger to yourself or others
- You report abuse of a child, elderly person, or disabled individual who may require protection
- I am ordered by a judge to disclose information
As a client, you are protected by “privileged communication”—a legal right that shields what you share in therapy from being disclosed. The State of Georgia has a strong track record of upholding this right. In the rare event a judge orders disclosure, that order can be appealed. I will do everything in my power to keep what you share with me confidential.
