A little about me

In my current work at LBA Counseling Services, my private practice that was founded in 2012, I provide individual counseling, trauma therapy, addiction therapy services, and EMDR (utilizing somatic psychotherapy) to adults struggling with: life adjustment (i.e. relationship issues, relocating, employment issues, etc.), PTSD and trauma, Substance Use Disorders,  depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders (bipolar, etc.), process addictions (codependency, workaholism, shopping addiction, etc.), and self-harm.

  • Certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
  • 5 years working at a men’s residential substance abuse treatment facility
  • 2 years working in a residential substance abuse treatment facility for male veterans
  • 2 years trauma training
  • 5 years working with male/female trauma survivors
  • Experience facilitating trauma intensives
  • Worked for one year as editor of the Clinical Page for The Georgia Society for Clinical Social Workers
  • Experience facilitating trauma training for therapists
  • Experience working with survivors/victims of domestic violence
  • Experience working in a mental health ward of a hospital
  • Experience working with men and women in outpatient addiction treatment
